Happy families caring for each other: It is about more than your aging parents

Taking care of your self, your career, your spouse, his or her career, your kids, their activities and school work, your home, your pets and being there for your friends... it can all get overwhelming.  Add in a parent or other loved one who has a need for a caregiver and you can find yourself underwater.

Taking care of yourself usually goes out the window first and that is actually the last thing that you want to do.  You need to be healthy, physically nd emotionally  so that you can help your loved one to the best of your ability.  There are several people  who can help and also provide dignity and allow families to maintain loving, supportive relationships as well.

There are two services that I would like to highlight that will assist with bill paying, medication coordination, in home visitors, In home health care and even coordination of all of the professionals that are assisting your loved ones.   I know both of these  small business owners personally and have the highest regard for them individually and for the care they put into their professions.

Amy Lieberman at Estate Matters.  Amy is a former Probate and Estate Planning paralegal and has over 30 years of experience.  Her background is  different than most people who offer these services because she has so much experience working with the professionals that provide services to your loved ones and can help facilitate family relationships and conversations not just for a parent but for you as well.  She help coordinate all of the people involved as well, such as accountants, attorneys, financial planners and care givers.  She also understands how the process works during life and after a loved one has passed away.  She can assist to make sure that the financial and legal issues are in order during a time of relative calm so that you can focus on your loved one  and their end of life process.  I happen to know Amy personally and know the professionalism that she brings to her clients ,but what really impresses me is the compassion that she also brings to each situation as well.

Another resource is Synergy Home Care. This company provides in-home living Assistance for all ages and needs from caregiver to companion.  I could tell you so much about the services they provide but what I feel is most important is that they understand you and your situation.  Let Mitch Bloom tell you himself as he describes  why he chose to be a part of their company and what it is all about.  I also know Mitch  and have the highest regard for him personally and professionally .  He understands  the needs of not only the parent or individual needing care but of the child or relative involved with that person as well.

I hope that these references provide peace of mind for you and your families!  Ther are several others that can provide a myriad of services.  Donot be afraid to look around and ask for help.

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs every day. It is always stimulating to read content from other writer’s creation and practice a little something from their ideas. Thanks for sharing :)
